MFT STAMPS | KEEP ON SMILING

Hello crafty friends! Do you feel blue on Mondays? So, here’s the solution: grab your stamps, paints and brushes and make something fun!

I chose to match this super fun and annoyed fish from the MFT BB Gill Friends stamp set with a sentiment from the MFT Sharky Sentiments stamp set. I love the contrast between the annoyed fish and the sentiment that spurs it to smile: it’s so fun!

I started using the MFT Watercolor Wash Free Form Stencil as a guide to draw the water stain on a watercolor paper. I stamped the fish in the middle using the Distress Oxide Antique Linen and colored it in the shades of light orange. I colored the water stain using the Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors in the shades of blue.

After that I realized the bubbles and some water drops around the water stain. At last, I stamped the sentiment under the fish with the Distress Ink Picket Fence and went over it with a white gel pen to give it more contrast.
