Hi everyone! Welcome to the first day of the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown!
Today I show you the project I created featuring the brand new MFT Widget Wonders stamp set.
I truly love these beautiful butterflies! They’re perfect to create a lot of Spring cards!
I chose to create a dramatic effect card, with a strong contrast between the bright colors of the butterfly and the mat black background.
I gold heat embossed the butterfly in the middle of a white watercolor card stock. I colored it using watercolor shimmer powders in the shades of green and blue.
After that I covered the whole background with a black gesso. In this way the colors of the butterfly seem even more brilliant.
At last I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of my card.
